Festivals – The “20th Matsuri”

Held every year on the 20th of September, it’s a super cool festival. Crazy tall floats are carried around and then almost rammed into main shrine of the festival. People dressed in tengu character costumes are another crazy part of the day.

Takigahara Cafe

Tucked away in the mountains south of Kanazawa near Komatsu and Kaga Onsen is Takigahara Cafe. They grow a lot of their own food, and get the rest locally. They specialize in galettes, like a savory crepe, that are incredibly delicious.
