Curio Espresso and Vintage Design

Curio from Seattle.  meet the new coffee shop in Kanazawa.  opened in the summer of 2014 super close to Omicho Fish Market and Kanazawa Station, Curio has been serving up outstanding coffee and delicious grub since day one. as for drinks, they got your espressos, cappuccinos, seasonal specials, teas…everything your neighborhood coffee shop should have.  don’t forget the beer.  they have some great IPAs as well, if you’re in the mood.  as for food, their special is a pork pulled sandwich (555 yen) which is awesome!  The lunch set with a sandwich, soup and a drink is 1200 yen.  the soups change every couple of days.  also, they bake their own banana bread and biscotti among other treats, also serving up other great local bakeries’ snacks.  aside from the cafe, they also do what is super rare in Kanazawa, an open mic.  people from all over congregate to have fun in the universal language of music. open mic nights are the first Saturday every month. check out their facebook page for lots of good info.  oh yeah.  the homemade chai is soooo good.  try it out.  Seattle and Kanazawa.  Both have rain.  Both like coffee.
