oneoneotta
located just down the street from Kanazawa scramble is the quaint yet sub-culture coffee shop “one one otta”. old fashion Italian coffee makers, home-made sweets, beer or Japanese sake, and 6 bar stools definitely give the place an at-home atmosphere. owned by an extremely nice couple, the husband is a renowned artist/painter in Kanazawa, and the shop is often frequented by band members, DJ’s, artists, and shop owners. they use Japanese, South American, and Italian Coffee, and specially bring in water from the mountains to brew their savory coffee. also, bread for the most delicious sandwiches in town are from a local bakery, TA-NE. cookies, cheesecake, muffins, and sandwiches, are all made by the wife, and twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, the catering team “niginigi” serves up delicious treats that will make your day, not to mention a perfect lunch. ※to note: in July and August they are open from 8 pm till morning making for one of the chillest hangouts spots in the Kanazawa summer. take one look at their website site and you’ll be drooling. they got wi-fi. skip starbucks, go here.
